Happy Anniversary Larissa!

Trying not to be discouraged by a lack of sales, I photographed and posted 6 pieces of jewelry that I completed recently.  I think that my designs may not appeal to enough people.  I would love any suggestions or criticism any of you can offer.

Sadly I don't have any suggestions or criticisms. I believe you do need to stay true to yourself though. I have had people suggest I make books that have more "man-appeal" and while I've taken the suggestion to heart I will not ever make something just because it's the hot new thing and will sell. Never will I remove the "me" part in my work. I have however found a way to make several that are less girly while maintaining my art. Maybe you just need to find that sort of thing too?

I love your pieces....doubly so because they are pieces that have been repurposed and reinvented. Much can be said for that. Hang in there, Lisa

Today is our 3 year anniversary, so I ran around all day, Eric worked, and then we went for a nice dinner.  Now... watching DVRed Psych.
Happy anniversary Larissa.

You kept up just fine!  And you have to admit that it can be fun...even when we go where no business chat has gone before, and probably shouldn't!

Today I have to work for a few hours and pick up the house, but tonight a friend and I are going to see the Hunger Games!

Happy belated Anniversary Larissa!

Lisa, you have to stay true to yourself. I know you know that already. It is hard especially when sales aren't good. I wish I had some "pearls of wisdom" for you, but I don't.

Happy belated anniversary Larissa!  :D

I've been busy this week getting things ready for a benefit dinner tonight (I offered to bring some baked goods to be auctioned), power cleaned yesterday, did all the laundry....

I got the official date of my friend's baby shower so I have to figure out what else I want to make her!  I already sewed a blanket for her and her sister, but I also want to knit a sweet little sweater.  :D

Thanks for all the anniversary wishes!

This morning, I unnecessarily went to motor vehicles with E.  The idiot who renewed his registration last time accidentally made it good only through  December 2011.  We thought he was overdue and he needed to get the Jeep inspected by tomorrow, but he'd fail without valid registration.  Since it's registered in my name, I had to go.  After an hour on line, we found out it was a misprint and it's good through 2012.  And since he needed a corrected one, they actually charged $5 for a duplicate, even though it was their mistake!  Grrr.

Now I have to do some work, then get to my mom's store to bring her soap & bath salts (she took a few bars for me to try it out and sold 2 this week!  so yay!).

Then, a meeting with an attorney.  And then if my tub shipment comes in, Purity!

Monika, Don't worry about your typing speed, just enjoy the chat.
Thanks all for the encouragement.  I often think that my problem with sales is all about staying true to myself :)  It may not be commercial enough.  I truly am open to criticism if there is something about the look or execution of my pieces or how I post them or whatever that I should think about changing.
Larissa, You reminded me, my license expired on Sunday, I had better go to motor vehicles.  I could do it online if I had proof of eye test, but I had my appointment out of state and it won't be accepted here... aargh.
