I am starting to get ready for my building's street fair this Saturday.  I am going to try to sell jewelry I make and vintage jewelry.  If anybody is in NYC, it will be Saturday, 10am to 6pm, 24th Street between 9th and 10th avenues.  I have never sold there before, but I've bought some great things.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm sorry to hear about not making back what you spent on the booth Theresa :(

Thanks Lisa!  Kara turns 2 on Friday!  My babies are growing up!   :-*

I started knitting an owl for Kara's bday and he doesn't look that big in the pictures...but this sucker is huge!  14" tall from head to toes.  At least I'm on his second leg and then all I have left are his wings and then to stuff him!

Ah, damnit, if I wasn't working Saturday morning & face painting Saturday afternoon I'd have stopped by the street fair.

I'm in court... was supposed to be a 12:30 hearing but the judge got caught up with the morning calendar and now we're being heard at 1:30.  So glad I have a laptop.

Well. Every day I tell myself, THIS is the day I'll take some time to rest and recuperate. Every day, I end up doing a ton of work or running errands.

So I'll claim that today I'm relaxing and catching up on my reading (Oh, how I love Liz Kessler!), but what's probably going to happen is that I'll get through one chapter and end up writing blog posts, making sparkly things, going to the post office to pick up my new sequins, and organizing my studio. :)

I am going to the post office today to send one of my quilts to Ireland! Whoo-hoo!!!  I did the postage through USPS online and it printed out three pages of documents.  This 'global' thing is quite an education!

Congratulations Sandi on your sale to Ireland!! I agree about shipping international - which is why it took me some time to add shipping internationally to my website.  I wanted to make sure I could do it - boy it is definitely an education though!

Congrats!! I've shipped to Australia a couple of times and the UK once. It is quite an education. My stuff was small, so I just did it at the post office.

My husband has shipped and bought things internationally and boy it gets kind of silly :)

Today I made bday cupcakes, cleaned and am trying to enjoy a few hours doing nada.  Probably won't happen :D

She is soooooo.... cute.  I love the mix of ballerina and sippy cup.

I did the street fair today.  Sales wise, it was worse than terrible.  On the positive side, the rain held off.  I also had very positive responses and met other craftspeople in NY.  The people at the next booth suggested another fair where they though I would do well.  I also met 2 people who offered to help get my things into some shops.  So, it was bad for my pocketbook but good for my ego.:)

Thanks Lisa!

I'm sorry to hear about the craft fair :(  I'm glad you got lots of positive feedback though and a tip for another good craft show!  Hopefully that one will pan out better!
