How lucky are we all to have found HANDMADE ARTISTS?  None of us say thank you enough, Kim and Andrew!  You two are simply amazing!
You said it ! ^-^

Susan, terrific card!
Theresa, glad you had such a great day at the store!
Sandi, congrats on the persistent customer & sale!
Kim, amazing that you've got so much of the order done!
Andrew, thanks for being such a great handmade host!

As for me, been mostly working.  Weather's better here, or was 'til it started raining tonight, but that's ok.

Friday night we went to a "Beginning of the End of the Summer" party, which was a blast.  I love parties with these hosts, they're always a great mix.  Our friends are friends of mine from the theater who're dating.  The primary organizer is the chick's younger brother, but all the siblings invite people so it's college kids, theater people of all ages, and who knows who else.

Today (technically yesterday since it's 2:30 a.m. on Sunday now), I worked in the morning, then ran to the cleaners to get my dress, then to the hairdresser for a cut & color.  Then E & I went for a "dunch" (dinner/lunch, since it was 4 p.m.) and then we came back here & he worked on stuff for his new business while I made my first zombie from the book he got me for my birthday.  Took longer than it looked!  I'll post a photo in the sewing section.

Meanwhile, to tout his new business... he quit his job & Monday is his last day.  He's starting his own company doing tech/computer support for large and small businesses and residential customers.  I'll tell y'all more when it's up & running.

Tomorrow (later) is the wedding of a guy I've been friends with since 1979.

Lord Larissa, you make me tired!  Congrats to Eric on his new adventure...keep us posted and if we can help with getting the word out let us know!  I would love to see this take off and be big!
As far as me, we are heading to church the I have to paint!  Can I tell you that I am really getting tired of painting white roses  :-\ .  As soon as this is over I am going to paint something with some color!!

I scored an 18" slab saw for a good price, ( to cut rocks into slices) I am so excited about it I can hardly wait to  get it home so I can play with my new toy.
Still painting my house and trying to get ready for the next show in September

Congrats on the new toy, Matt!

Kim, I'd be climbing the walls if I were you.

My new (old) slab saw...

A slab I cut with it... the pic doesn't do it justice (it has more color)

Love your new toy!  There is nothing like getting a new gaget or tool to play with...makes my mind spin with ideas!

Fun weekend, 'til today.  Saturday I worked in the morning, went to a beer tasting in central Jersey with E in the afternoon, then to a potluck party at the house of friends.  That was an absolute blast and made it REALLY difficult to get up this morning, despite the fact that I only had 2 small glasses of wine in 6 hours because I was driving.

Today, we got up later than intended and then did a ton of laundry & cleaned a good portion of the house.  It was a really in-depth cleaning, which feels great now that it's done, but I'm exhausted and it didn't leave me much energy for finishing this brief I'm supposed to have done for tomorrow.  I'll have to finish it in the office.

Looks cool and fun, Matt. Thanks for the forum and HAF shop guys.
I'm promoting my necklace in a design challenge. It was the first time I used fiber in a design. You can check it out and vote for it if you like, here:

She doesn't accept anonymous comments/votes. You have to put my name and the name of the necklace in the vote/comment (Kay-Waltz Across Texas)  It's the #4 design.  Thanks for any help.
I was actually going to list it for sale in my Etsy shop, but it sold before I could :)

Yeah, not so fun. It's been quiet at the store today. Maybe the trmor from the earthquake sent everyone home.

Ick!

Sorry it's slow, Teresa.

Just working today and court.  I'm very excited that E's gotten a large portion of his new business ready to roll and has finalized the literature for it so I'll be able to post and tell you guys all about it tonight.

I've been MIA all over the place this week!  Andy has been in Phoenix and Jax just started school today, so I've been  :-\ all week  ;)  Hope to get back to normal tomorrow...or shortly thereafter!
