I stayed in bed for half of the day today; my stomach was wonky.  And something's wrong with E's knee; it's all swollen & in pain and he has no idea what he did to it.

I hope you're feeling better today. As for E's knee, I can fully understand that! I had a "Baker's Cyst" blow out late last year and it is so painful. The fluid around the knee builds up and creates a cyst at the back of the knee. It's a very noticeable bulge. I had to take pain meds, ice it, and wear a knee brace.

Good morning!

I have lots of little things to do today - the hafshop is looking great - lots of new sellers, listings and I love the featured article! I must get to doing that - it's on my perpetual list of things to do.

It's raining again here!!! We did have a day and a half of sun this weekend - my plants are just hibernating along, waiting for sun and heat...

Have a great day everyone!

Vacation Bible School for the little ones this week and I finished one sock yesterday and started a baby bootie!  Loving the warm & sunny weather, it's been 4 days in a row!  :)

We are about to go from nice to brutally hot in the next few days...and me in a school without air conditioning!  Should put me in a great mood for the last week of school.

Eeep!  :(

Andy keeps obsessively checking out A/C making sure it's still working.  The A/C guys have been out here twice but he doesn't trust it...especially since the last 2 days he's found it iced up!

I put in my 8 hours at my day job, and I just now finished all the applique on the quilt I am working on...  only took me the weekend and a couple of hours tonight!  Anyway, I turned it over and took a picture of the back.  I think it's happy and sad at the same time.  Happy, because it's a line drawing of the face of the quilt (can you see mountains and trees?).  Sad because this will end up inside the quilt - the batting will be against it.  No one will ever see it!

That looks gorgeous!!!!  I'm always curious if people make a special design that they quilt onto the quilt or if they are set like, only wavy lines.

That is actually the satin (zig zag) stitch around the edges of all the pieces of material on the face of the quilt.

I'd love to see the front side of the quilt - the back looks fabulous!

Sandi - that is cool!   quilt back over it after you get all the layers together?

Me - catching up an a few things - like the HAF blog ring & trying to come up with ways to help my daughter with the legal mess she is in! and hopefully getting some new listings up.

Yes, ultimately when I get to the quilting stage, I quilt to give my quilts definition and depth.  So I'll be hand-quilting around all of that applique!

At work right now...  looking forward to quilt time when I get off!
