Congrats!  Can't wait to see how you develop.  I have a feeling you are going to be great at lampworking.

Where are you doing your lampwork now?  Are you taking classes or just somewhere besides home?

I am so jealous!  Lampwork is on my list.  I looked into a couple of clases, but there were none close by so I put it off; now I am drooling to look again.

To my eye, these look excellent! My husband makes stained glass windows so we have tons of glass laying about. I know it isn't the same glass but..........I don't know where I'm going with this..............I want to learn metalsmithing.

Me too! I want to learn lampwork. That's the great thing about artists always wanting to learn new skills.

The nice thing that in the picture its difficult to see all the flaws, however i am a perfectionist.
Actually, the woman who rents me torch time started with stained glass. She told me once she took a lampworking class she was addicted. It's so much fun, but renting time is not cheap, especially if you are one of the folks in the unemployement line. The only reason i did it now (aside from the fact that i been wanting to) is that someone purchased time for me at the studio as a bday gift. I am soo thankfull :)

I really hope to get good so i can sell some, but still have a ways to go.

Perfectionist?, perfectionist?,I don't know what youre talking about. There are no perfectionists in here. Ha ha ha ha ha, It took a long time for me to start showing some of my work cause it wasn't "good" enough. So bravo to any one who shows off their imperfect work. (including me)

Perfectionist?  What's that?  I can't even begin to tell you how many things I've taken apart/erased/tossed/etc because I saw a flaw that nobody else would ever notice.

Lampwork classes are few and far between.

Your work is wonderful!

Maybe when you get your style down, and more experience, YOU could teach!
