unsolicited offer/request from another vendor
« on: May 04, 2016, 07:47:11 AM »
I received a private message from another vendor on this site, and if it had not come through this site I would have immediately deleted it as spam.  The vendor is asking me to promote her items, even to the point of "save photos and write text and sell on your site", and she'll give me a percentage of sales that come through me.  She also asks me to "retweet" her twitter posts.

If this is considered acceptable then I'll send her a polite "sorry, not interested".  I don't want to be the rude one.  But I am curious to know if this is considered acceptable here.  If not, I intend to delete and forget.  :-)

It's not acceptable, and I actually banned that person.  I can't find him/her in the member list, so I'm not sure how s/he's still sending those PMs, but I'm getting them daily too.

Thanks for the response, Larissa!  Maybe this is a new one?  I did a search and found her shop: ivana3pi

Oh!  Whoops, I think I banned her only from the forum... and I didn't realize she was actually a vendor here, so I probably shouldn't have done that.  I didn't see her shop when I did it.  I wish I could tag people.

Andrew, can you reinstate her to the forum and tell her to cut it out with the spammy PMs?

I got that same message. Not cool. I am just ignoring it.

I just searched for her as a vendor and did not get any result.  Her offer is a direct violation of this selling venue.

Andrew removed her as a vendor.
