Handmade Lampwork Bead Giveaway
This substantial and collectable glass art bead was originally my entry for the HAF spring trashy contest earlier in the year and I am really pleased to be able to offer it up as a giveaway prize on here on the Handmade Artists blog.
I bought the cutest box of watch parts a couple of years ago which originally came from the Westfield Watch Company in NY. This bead is called Tree of Life and every cluster of golden bubbles captured forever under the glass is caused by a tiny embedded upcycled brass object that has come out of the from that lovely Westfield Watch Company box.
To enter all you need to do is post a comment below. The contest will run 1 week and will end on 10/9/2012 at 8 pm EST. Comments will be closed at that point and the winner will be picked by a random number generator.
Now a little bit about the artist!
We’ve written about Kitzbitz before as we are just a huge fan of Jolene’s work. She has been a member of Handmade Artists since June of 2009, the forum was only open for a couple of months at that point. She has been an invaluable member of our community and jumps in to help and support our members at any chance she gets. You can find Jolene’s work all over the place. She has a few etsy shops that you can check out her various creations Kitzbitz Art Beads on Etsy, Buzzword Beads on Etsy, and she also sells lampwork supplies and other various goodies on Frit N Chips on Etsy.
Jolene also has just started setting up shop with us here at Handmade Artists’ you can find all of her wonderful work here at Kitzbitz Art Beads on Handmade Artists’. Jolene is also an avid blogger who has been kind enough to share some wonderful features and tutorials on her site, so take a look at her blog as well and show her some love.

Amazing work! I didn’t win your last bead and if I don’t win this one I will just have to buy one for myself!
What a beautiful bead! It truly shows the timeless beauty of trees!
Love it!
I’m not entering to win my own bead, that would be just silly! I wanted to leave a little message here however to say thank you to everyone at Handmade Artists for your lovely comments, feedback and support over the years and particularly to Andrew and Kimberly who do so much to promote Handmade. It is a pleasure for me to be able to give something created by my own hand to help promote such a great and supportive forum. Good luck to everyone who enters. Jo x

Amazing universe within it’s self.
I absolutely love this amazing bead ^^
so beautiful..The spirit of the tree..love to win this bead.
I can’t believe I’m using this multi-syllabic twice in one day but the bead is truly phantasmagorical. I have only recently started beading. Having the Tree of Life as a focal point would be challenging and inspiring. I will have to look into lamp work as I am not familiar with it.
Such a gorgeous bead! Great for a necklace!
My wife and I have been participating in craft fairs for several years and now have our products on several craft websites. In all this time we have seen some extremely unique and extremely beautiful artwork but we can unequivocally say that this is one of the most beautiful and unique items we have seen. Keep up the good work, we will be setting up our shop soon.
I love the tree of life and the very nice effect you got with the watch parts.
OOOoOoOHhH! How absolutely divine is this bead. I’m crossing my fingers to win it, and have several delightful ideas how to integrate it into a gorgeous necklace. YUM-eee! Fabulous work Jolene!
