AlchemyAtelier's Profile
| Bio |
| Where to even start? I started sewing when I was six years old. My mother having noticed that I was taking to making clothes for my Barbie with construction paper and staples decided that it was time to teach me to sew for real. And Christmas came with a little plastic toy sewing machine. Which lasted all of one week before it gave up the ghost due to my constant use. It was then that I graduated to using my mother's favorite Pfaff (under her expect supervision). Boy howdy, though, letting me loose on that machine was like opening Pandora's Craft Box. The addiction continued through my teen years, as I sought knowledge about tailoring, patterning, and fashion history. Which lead me down the path of a costume technician and total theatre geek. My interests are incredibly diverse and has a profound influence on the style of work that I produce but I lean mostly to Victorian inspired with a modern flair. Right now my focus is on jewelry and accessory design using unusual materials, patterns, and compositions. I love earrings and bangles the most, both to make and wear. Female, Born on December 31 |
