Yesterday I rested mainly after the 3-day show (not good but not our worst). Did ply 2/3 of the yarn I spun at it, so today after spinning some more and plying it I should have at least 600yds done

Beth, Glad to hear you got some concrete answers from your doctor. Follow instructions and get your bedroom cooled...would a regular fan be able to push the cooled air from your window AC into your bedroom? (Here in the north I know more about circulating heat than cool

)
My back is slowly improving, but I haven't returned to work yet (may be able to wait til fall and get it all better-the lifting and walking involved in waitressing isn't easy on the body) That would give me a summer devoted to crafting

. Today I want to start a period/costume pair of pants for my husband- I have my colonial dresses but he would look funny in those

. and I have pictures to take, lots to list but I've been slow getting it done

bad me!
Larissa- the big ugly looking grubs that I've seen this time of year are usually June bug larva, I usually just use a trowel to throw them out on the grass and the birds do the rest. I can't remember what the organic cure for them is. I also try to do companion planting (like marigolds with tomato plants) to discourage some pests. For your flowers they will fill in, and if you have spaces this fall stick in some daffadil bulbs for some early color next spring.
