I love these! I know I saw them somewhere before and recall commenting on them there. FB? Google+? Not sure.

Rainy and still mild though the temps are going to drop this week. Still above normal though and is supposed to stay that way through Christmas.

Cleaned house, laundry, rearranged a couple of closets so they make more sense and we make better use of the space.
We've started getting some furniture to use for staging our NC house. Got a great deal on a set of chairs (6 total) for $60. They are a modern style with upholstered seats and backs. They are a plain dark blue color and none of the fabric is damaged. They look like they were used in a doctor's office or something. Nice thing is we will be able to use them in this house when we are done down there. Got them at the Salvation Army store. They seem to get quite a bit of stuff, so I think I will be checking there weekly to see what they have.

Lady had her test done again for her Cushing's Disease. It all came back good though she has moved from Cushing's to Addison's Disease. It's kind of a normal transition and easier to manage. She needs to lose a few pounds, so we cut back on the food and treats. She still has great energy and attention for an old girl. Farrah is doing great too. She's her normal self and just goofy sometimes. She is shedding like crazy though. I have blond tufts of hair all over. I really need to get them to a groomer.

Had an awesome time at my friends house Saturday. It was so nice to connect in person again. It's been 40 years! She lives quite close. We are planning on going to our high school reunion together this coming summer. Hubby is happy because then he doesn't have to go. :)

I'm planning on doing some baking towards the end of the week. I'll make a batch of Kolaches for Terry since they are his favorite. I am also going to attempt to make Niisuu. It's a Finnish sweetbread with cardamom flavoring. My Mom made it fairly often and I love it. That will be all. I don't want to much around because then I will be eating it. I really wish I didn't have a sweet tooth!

I'm looking forward to a long visit from my son Greg, his wife Christine and of course Zoey. They both have the weekend after Christmas off which never happens, so they are coming down for a couple days. I am beside myself excited!!
I'm hoping that my daughter and her fiance can come too. Not sure what kind of schedule they have and she's keeping vacation days for their honeymoon.

Have a good evening everyone.

Good to know that I am not the only one who includes their pets on a holiday card. That is really cute. I never seem to be able to get it together in time to get a photo card done. A goal for next year I guess.

I dropped off our food and gift donations at the fire station at the end of our subdivision. I signed the donation list. I was informed that they send thank you cards to those who donate. I've never gotten anything like that before. It's like when I had my dental work done, the DENTIST actually called both times to make sure I was doing okay. Not his office, but HIM. I was floored.

Turns out there is a holiday decorating contest in this subdivision. Terry will be tweaking his stuff this weekend. I really think he wants to win a prize. He's just a big kid sometimes.

Good thing you got the scarf done Larissa. I'm sure it will be appreciated very much. I've been thinking about making one for myself, but more likely I'll just buy one.

Well, gotta go. A couple of errands to run and then dinner. Have a good evening everyone!

I hear ya! It's hard. The real kick in the pants for me was when the doctor told me I was pre-diabetic. DO NOT want to deal with that and really need to keep the BP under control too.

The eggs are so pretty and they taste great don't they? I saw on FB that you made the paper too. That's really cool!

I'm happy about the honey too. I invite you to like their FB page.  It's Eagle Creek Apiary in Sheridan, IN. I figured fellow bee keepers would want to support one another. I am really trying to find more locally produced stuff for everyday as well as gifts.

It's crazy warm here for December. It's nearly 50 today. Well above normal. Sat. is supposed to be 5, but some rain. Feels like NC.

I have an idea rolling around in my head for a new necklace design too. Maybe I'll work on that later. Time to go feed the firls and get our dinner together. Have a great evening all!

We will be removing this carpeting too just not yet. Being an 80's era house, I don't think that we would be lucky enough to have hardwood underneath the carpet. WE are planning on either engineered hardwood or laminate since those are the most durable. If we end up keeping carpet in the bedrooms, we will get a much better grade than what is here.

Bev, I am taking a break with the house stuff to enjoy the holidays. I got our tree up yesterday. I'll share pics soon.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hope this going well for you Larissa! I just walk everyday. I try to get in at least 12,000 steps. I think after the holiday crazy stuff is done, I will start yoga again. I miss doing it and it always made me feel better.

I've been lurking lately. My mouth is still sore from the dental work, but at least that part is done. Now I need to make an appt. with my regular dentist to get the crown and or crowns/filling done. I finished painting our living room, so the top 2 floors are done. Today I starting shampooing the carpets. I knew they would be dirty, but this was way beyond what I thought. Filthy would be an appropriate word to use! I will finish with the rest during the week. Hopefully they won't be quite as bad.

Next Sat. we are going to have dinner at a friends house from when I was in high school. I haven't seen her since we were juniors way back in 1975. It's going to be so fun to get together. She only lives about 30 minutes from me!

Trying to get motivated and start working in my shop again. I think I will be closing the ZoZo shop with the kids jewelry. I just am not feeling it and have put NO time into it in months. I am hoping to maybe get into some local shows next year. We went to a holiday market over the weekend and like so many, just a smattering of handmade people, way too much DS stuff, and antiques. I did meet some one lady whom I really connected with so I'll be in touch with her about getting involved in some show stuff. She makes candles and melts. I love the stuff I bought! Our only purchases were from the handmade people. Found some awesome local honey too. They have their own apiary, so that was all interesting. Made me think of you Larissa.

Hubby got all his outside decorating done for Christmas.  Pictures attached. Lastly, Happy Hanukkah to all who celebrate!

Oh my goodness Monika, what an ordeal. I'm sending you a big hug and loads of prayers and well wishes too.

Larissa, that jacket is awesome! Hoodlums  ;D sounds like something my Mom would have said too! I saw the new digs for the boys on FB. Looks great and now everyone can be comfy in their own space. I'm sure it puts your minds at ease too.

Tomorrow is my dental procedure. I sure hope that this abscess is not too bad. I don't think it is since I have no real discomfort or pain. I will tomorrow though. :(

Good evening to all and I'll try and pop by tomorrow.

I'm running on the assumption that you're going to come through this absolutely fine, so as far as I'm concerned, the faster you get it done, the faster you start to heal.  So I'm glad it's happening tomorrow and you can be on your way to healing!

I'm with Larissa on this. You are going to be good as new when this is all said and done!! I have NO DOUBT!

Same old stuff for me. Painted our master bath and it looks so much better. It still needs some stuff done though and eventually we hope to gut it and start over. I am coming near then end of all this painting. Just have the living room left to do on the main level. The downstairs isn't too bad, so I will wait to do that.

We are still on the fence with the whole rental vs. selling thing with our old house. There are pros and cons with each and we have to decide what is best for us at this point. I think we are leaning more towards just doing the fixes and putting it back on the market. :-\

It's a scam alright and one that has been going on for quite a long time.  I've gotten this and similar messages here myself.

All this talk about inoculating makes you sound like a doctor Larissa. That is pretty cool with the mushroom thing though.

It's a chilly, windy day again. Even the dogs didn't want to walk this morning. Guess we'll try later.

Hubby is getting ready to go to NC again and do some more work around the house, winterize, etc. He is also meeting with a property manager in case we end up renting this place which is looking more likely everyday. Good news is she is excited about the property and feels she can rent it for a good price. Even after fees, we would still MAKE money. So we shall see how that goes. The fact that our good friend has used her for 7 years without issue makes me feel more comfortable with the whole idea.

Have a great day and weekend everyone!
