Here is a popular post I did on my blog a while back on how to make your own earrings cards. Written by me, the post also incorporates ideas from other jewelry designers.

I am kind of new to the forums and excited to finally be able to participate!

I thought you would be interested in this and I wanted to let you know that iCraft.ca is sponsoring a "Sellers' Bootcamp" for online sellers of handmade.

Starts Nov. 1 - 28 days - assignments take 30 min. a day.

It is designed specifically for the holiday selling season to get sales.

I love twitter, but I started my account with a purpose in mind.

Some use it only for famliy and friends (frankly, I think Facebook is better for that) and some use it for business.

If you use it for business, seek those who would be interested in your business. In my case, I seek those who love handmade goods and especially handmade jewelry. That includes a lot of online sellers as we are all in this together!

I tweet a couple of times a day (I work full time plus my jewelry business) and have made friends with some pretty awesome sellers (who could be buyers). Have I gotten any sales per Twitter? Not that I know of but I don't hang my hat on that. It puts my brand is out there in the handmade community and recognition is worth a lot.

Also, I find really useful links to all kinds of things to help my business.

Twitterfeed is set up to automatically tweet the last two items I list in a listing session or blog posts. This is done through RSS.

So, between chatting with people (to break the ice I like to check links that sellers tweet and comment) and then my very few auto tweets - it is just a nice community networking option.

Hi Everyone~
I am new to this forum but excited to start participating. I see so many talented artists and designers here - it is so good to be among you!

Here are my links:

Web Site: http://www.gallerialinda.com

Shop-iCraft: http://www.icraft.ca/gallerialinda (my handmade jewelry)

Shop-ArtFire: http://gallerialinda.artfire.com (vintage jewelry)

Blog about my jewelry: http://gallerialindashowcase.blogspot.com

Blog about business/online selling for Indie Artists: http://IndieCEO.blogspot.com

I just opended a shop on www.1000markets.com but have not completed it yet.

I have a shop on http://www.bonanzle.com/booths/gallerialinda that has non-handmade items in it.

I am looking into SilkFair - anyone have feedback?

I have two Etsy shops (gallerialinda and gallerialindaloft) that are empty as I am not selling on Etsy at this time.

And, thank you for the opportunity to promote - this is an awesome idea!

Introduce Yourself / Re: Introduce Yourself

Hi Everyone,

I am Linda, the name behind GalleriaLinda Handmade Contemporary Beaded and Silver Wire Jewelry that I started about 2-1/2 years go.

I wanted so badly to take jewelry classes in college but did not have the time for those credits. I have been making jewelry things for myself since college (a WHILE ago) but as with many of you, was urged by friends to put my designs for sale online.

I am a marketing communications consultant for small businesses by day, so my jewelry business is part time and I yearn for much more time with it. There are so many things I want to try. Sometimes I lay awake at night mentally pouring over the beads and materials I have in inventory to think up new designs. Nerdy, I know....I know.

In January, I thought I would merge my offline business sense with my online marketing knowledge from what I learned when I started (I read and read and read about online marketing) and created a blog for indie artists who sell online. You can see it here at http://IndieCEO.blogspot.com.

My first venue was Etsy but I have now come to love http://www.iCraft.ca/gallerialinda for my handmade jewelry. I get many more views and sales. I also have some vintage items on http://gallerialinda.artfire.com and have tried some other venues with no success.

I tweet (@gallerialinda - follow me!) too and am on many online handmade networking sites.

And, my own web site is http://www.gallerialinda.com.

Glad to be here!

Linda
