Site Support / Suggestion for new site
« on: February 16, 2015, 09:53:45 PM »
If it isn't too late to add, a date when each sale was completed would be a great help, especially at tax time,  When sales are slow it's not too bad, but with sales on paypal from different sites I could see where it could become a problem to track when things pick up. Thanks for listening Andrew.

General Discussion / Shop Testing, Free, Peek
« on: February 27, 2014, 04:40:16 PM »
Yes, I heard about this on etsy, (but don't stop reading because of the source of my information). There is a beta website that sends "a shopper" to your website, and gives a  free five minute video critique of it. The site is peek.usertesting.com/
I submitted both my handmade artists shop and my etsy shop and  just got my reviews back today. The reviewers aren't all equal in familiarity with sites like this and the one that started with my shop here ended up looking at the handmade artist site as a whole  so I thought I would share the links with you so you can take a look and see if you want to try it too. http://peek.usertesting.com/result/85786693735?autoplay=true

the reviewer of my etsy shop was a little more experienced in on-line shopping and did bring up the fact that my policies aren't showing up where they should be so I have some work to do there.http://peek.usertesting.com/result/66286675481?autoplay=true

it does take a couple of days before your results show up in your e-mail,but I found it an interesting experiment.

General Discussion / Printer help?
« on: February 23, 2014, 12:42:08 PM »
Just changing my printer ink cartridge and part of the plastic cartridge holder is broken and the piece with the spring that holds the cartridge in came out >:)

My question is  Is this repairable or do I need to go printer shopping? Where would I go locally? I bought it several years ago from Dell, but don't really want the expense of shipping it to be repaired. :(

Also How do I store the open(un-taped) cartridge to keep the ink from drying-I have ink on my finger :police:

General Discussion / Smart Phones and credit cards at craft shows?
« on: June 05, 2013, 07:38:30 AM »
I've been considering joining this century and up grading to a smart phone, to enable me to take credit cards at craft shows and keep an eye on my on-line shops.
I would like information on the different brands and OS on phones,(and ease of use) and which card readers are best, most trouble free ? Thanks

Site Support / leaving a comment on your blog
« on: March 04, 2013, 06:28:26 PM »
I have been enjoying reading the blog section but have yet to succeed in leaving a comment. Help please?
I read the article, click on comments, click on the you must be logged in to leave a comment and it jumps me to the page that lists all the new items for sale. Is there something I should do differently or is it just a glitch on my computer?
Thanks

Site Support / Shop questions from a newbie
« on: February 11, 2013, 02:54:11 PM »
Hi, I'm a week old and think I have most of the necessary things filled out in my shop but need to add a lot more items.
My first question is; is there a way to preview a new listing before it goes live? I've been looking at each new item and then sometimes go back and edit things I forgot, but it would really help to see how others will see it before they do?
2nd; I've been looking at other peoples sold items (since I don't have any yet) and see some show pictures, price etc while others are just blank? Will there be a way in the future that the pictures can be left as a gallery but the prices gone in case we need to change future prices on similar items?
And thanks in advance- everyone here is so friendly and welcoming.
