Site Support / Re: How can I List an item for free?
« on: June 11, 2018, 10:03:29 PM »
List for $1, then also create a coupon for $1 that can be applied to the catalog purchase.  Include coupon instructions in your description of the item.  Create a mailing cost for the catalog that you can use for it also, separate from other items.  If you need further assistance, please feel free to message me.

my eyes were attracted to the yellow string, so i looked very closely as to where it went, as it was not in the sizing strings, aha, in the end knot.  very interesting construction.

welcome to haf, we are a diverse group with many different genres.  ask questions, give answers and opinions.  you will find, no matter what the venue for your sales, that online selling is a full time job.  remember, online, your only way to attract customers is through the picture you post.  they can not touch, pick up, or look at detail as they would in a brick store.

Hello tewlis shaw, grayhound mama, and mar.  I am horrible at remembering names, so excuse any typos/missing letters, etc.  my status says "newbie" but i will differ, i was an active Haf member and shop for about 9 years, then took a hiatus, changed shops so my new shop is still developing.  If I can be of any assistance to any seller, member, please feel to contact me and ask.

Online is very difficult to generate a client base, you have to approach it as a fulltime job or it will not work.  However to follow the thread: today, I reassembled a 14 ft diameter trampoline in my backyard for the grandchildren.  My daughter and her four children have taken up residence here, temporarily, while they save and find a place near to brandon's work.  they were given less than 24 hours to vacate their house when they told the landlord that they would be moving.

I did this several years ago, but I am John Rasmussen, I cut stones and make jewelry.  I work in silver and copper.  I do offer some beaded items, but they are not my primary passion, most are left from when my wife was capable of beading.  I was rather active in Handmade Artists then had to take a slight hiatus, now I hope to be active 'til death do us part.

you need to promote your products on all social media, with your own links to your shop.  The admin of this site promote, but you need to do your own, just like you have a brick and mortar store.  Also remember that if you copy/paste the search engines will start to ignore your posts, each post should be unique.  Online selling is labor intensive, you have to approach it like a regular job.  Here you are a fairly large fish in the pond, at places with thousands of sellers, you are a very small fish in the large pond.  If you don't have a shop facebook, twitter, etc. account, start one.  Link all  your posts to your shop here.
