Knitting, Crochet, Sewing and Needlework / Pac-Man Crew - Crocheted!
« on: March 31, 2013, 06:14:39 PM »
My husband was wanting the whole Pac-Man crew so I finished the set yesterday. I'm happy with how they turned out though I may try a different design for Pac-Man next time. They are all about 8" tall

Thanks for looking!

Knitting, Crochet, Sewing and Needlework / Newest Pegasus
« on: March 28, 2013, 11:01:38 AM »
I wanted to share my newest creation!

This is a pegasus that I made using a yarn I've been drooling over for a while. I love how he turned out!

He's up in my Etsy store and will be here in this store later today. This morning has already been crazy and it's taken me a while to get photos edited, etc. But all for good reasons, my daughter and I have been reading books and having a popcorn picnic :-)

Thanks for looking

I've been busy and I've been having a lot of fun!

I added four jellyfish to my store as well

Then my hubby loves Pac Man and requested the whole gang so here is Clyde - the first installment!

And I don't like posting pictures of myself, but here's a shirt I made for myself to wear over sleeveless shirts this summer

Thanks for looking!  :)

Knitting, Crochet, Sewing and Needlework / Recent Projects
« on: March 08, 2013, 08:54:46 PM »
I thought I would share some of the random, recent projects I've done :) :)

This jellyfish was for my son upon his request. He chose the yarn, wanted the eyes just like that and the mouth, too. I made a big one - it stands about 14" from the top to the ends of the tentacles. It was fun to do!

Then I got a pattern for a pegasus and used a couple of colors that I don't get to use often and here was the result. My daughter has adopted "Sunset"

Then this was one of the last custom items I'll be doing. I finished them last night and sent them off to their new owner!

I want to make some beaded clips for my daughter's hair so I'm going to play around with that tonight. I left the hot glue gun in her room (she's asleep now) so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to put it all together. LOL

Events & Promotions / Store Clearance
« on: March 08, 2013, 12:58:15 PM »
I started a new store here and I've been working like crazy on promoting and the fact of the matter is, I just don't have the time for all of this at this point in my life. So I'm closing my store so I can crochet for fun for my family and friends and focus on my kiddos.

I've reduced the items in my store to clear out a bunch of in-stock items. I'm going to only stock specialty items at this point.

Anyway don't miss out on these low prices for some crochet goodies! There are more deals on my Etsy store, too, including jewelry.

Thank you all!

Shop Critiques / Could I get a shop critique please?
« on: March 07, 2013, 03:40:56 PM »
At this point I'm just stocking ready-to-ship items. I would love a critique of my shop, specifically pricing. Do my prices seem okay?

I try to go for a variety in my pictures. I know my bunny rabbit pictures could be better but how does everything else look?

Thank you in advance. Any and all comments are appreciated!

Technical Help in Creating / Beaded Jewelry - Crochet Versus Knotting
« on: March 05, 2013, 03:55:18 PM »
I'm new to beaded crochet jewelry and I'm considering looking into doing knotted beaded jewelry instead. I found the book I want to buy but whenever I look at materials I get overwhelmed. It looks like I need to order most of the materials online.

I want to get 1 to 1.5 or even 2 mm in size and I'm trying to decide between leather, satin cord or should I go with something else?

Can I use cotton yarn or embroidery floss or does it need to be leather or satin?

Any other tips?

Knitting, Crochet, Sewing and Needlework / Crochet Bunnies Everywhere!
« on: March 05, 2013, 10:17:49 AM »
I'm trying to get my store stocked for Easter. I'm new to this site and the first thing I added were my Easter bunny rabbits. I love making these and each one always has such a distinct personality to me. I had to share!

Thanks in advance for looking!

Business Tips and Help / New Here - How to divide items between shops
« on: March 05, 2013, 09:00:39 AM »

I'm new here and very excited to be a part of this site. I'm already much more comfortable here than I ever was on Etsy.

That said, I'm not really able to just abandon my Etsy site all at once. I need to move over here as part of a process. But I'm not sure how to list items.

For those of you with more than one store, how do you divide your items? I don't want to list the same items both places because with my luck someone would buy the same thing both places at the same time. LOL

For example, with my Easter items, should I just put half here and half over there?

What do you all do?
