Alchemy Request~Help in Ring Sizes
« on: May 22, 2010, 01:45:14 PM »
I have received a request to do a 17" byz necklace in stainless steel or sterling rings. The sterling is out of the question, because I don't cut my own rings, and is outta site to buy pre-cut rings. They have asked for a 7mm chain, so I need to know about what size rings would work to get the 7mm size. I was thinking 4.4 ID in an 18 gauge, am I close? Thanks in advance.

Nope, after measuring a byz I already have made up in 18ga, 3/16 ID, it is just under 7mm, so I think that will do fine.

I answered my own question, DUH! LOL!  :-\

Glad you figured it out and I don't have to go find my list of ring sizes in this mess!

LOL, Kim! Actually, the rings could stand to be a little bit larger, but those will do. They are just a grunt under 7mm, so I don't see how that would make a hill of beans difference.
