I will take a quick minute to re-introduce myself. I've been out of the loop for a quite a while.

My name is Jane Loedding and I have a shop here and I believe I am still a member of the HAFteam.

I have an Etsy shop - http://jmlart.etsy.com - that has nothing listed in it right now, but there's a reason.

Currently I am building a new website where I plan to streamline all of my work.

I want to get out of the custom artwork arena...I am very burned out on that. So many times your work is unappreciated. I'm spent and done and ready for something new.

Also one of the reasons for this changed attitude is that my mother who was ill with Alzheimer's passed away 3 months ago. While my mom was sick and dying my Mother-in-law was very ill. Then my husband became ill. All is well now, but I was ready to fall apart. With my mom's passing and all of the other craziness that has come up in my life I decided that I want to live for me and create what "I" want to create. So that's why I'm making all of these changes.

So...I just opened a new Etsy shop yesterday and have some of my new work listed there:

I hope to be able to join in here on the forum and get more involved like I was a while back. Now that my mom is gone I have a little bit of extra time and would like to join in again.

Hello all!

I've just found this community via Twitter and naturally I joined immediately. I'm pleased to find groups for handmade artists to get together and share work.

I am a clothing designer, working particularly in fantasy, fairytale and historically inspired styles. I have an etsy shop at http://www.etsy.com/shop/ChaelenDesigns. Every item in my shop is handmade by me, and I try to hand-sew most of the trimmings and adornments I use as well.

My shop is relatively new. I've been at this for a few months, and I'm now trying to get the word out a bit more.

I'm really impressed with some of the shops and photos I've seen so far. Looking forward to talking with some of you in due course!

Hi! My name is Tashina, and I run abookisabook on etsy.
I make covers for kindle, nook, and other e-readers out of recycled hardback books.  I don't use books that are still useful as readable copies, so it basically gives new life to something that would've been tossed aside, and I never deprive the world of a work of literature.

It started when I wanted something special to cover my kindle, and it turned out so well I had to share. All my covers are lined, with elastic straps held on by rivets to hold your device. I'm now offering customization to add pockets for USB cables or SD cards.

I have two etsy shops and I am trying to get them up and going. My goal is to eventually be able to replace my income with my etsy sells.

I am married mother of two teenage daughters, challanging but rewarding.

I love, love, love to hunt for vintage finds in the local (sometimes not so local) thrift shops.

I also love to create with wire, beads and fabric!
