Hi everyone. I just joined this group. My name is Terri. I live in Denver, CO with my husband Rich and our daughter Emilia who is 11. We also have 2 fur kids. Sophie a 4 yr old black lab mix and Lily a 3 year old Westie. I have been doing nails out of my home for over 15yrs but only work part-time now because I homeschool Emilia as well. I got into stamping about 4 yrs ago and I have an Etsy shop http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5101913 where I sell my work now. I also have an Artfire and 1000 market shop too. You can find out more about me on my blog as well http://www.terrbear38.blogspot.com/ I look forward to getting to know you all.

Hello. I'm new. I just joined.
I just started selling on etsy, and I haven't had any luck yet. I'm thinking of trying artfire, and possibly icraft.ca. I haven't really been able to research either of those much at all.
I mostly make jewelry (earrings); however, not even I know what I may spit out at times.

I just joined, but I've been following Handmade Artists Forum on twitter for a few months (mine is www.twitter.com/roboresa).

Hi Y'all, :)
My name is Margo and I must say at the start that it is a pleasure to be amongst so many unique and talented fellow artisans of handmade.
Now here's a little about me.
Artistry and creativity are in my family genes and these genes have been passed onto me.
My creativity has many faces-- macrame, stained glass, knitting, crocheting, needle point, stenciling, faux painting, and a lot more. Jewelry design and creation is a fairly recent creative endeavor of mine.
This August I begin my 6th year of designing and making eclectic styled jewelry-- I love to sell at craft fairs and have a number of my pieces in local boutiques and bridal stores. I also started selling on line last August which has opened a whole new world for me.
My passion for creating new pieces of jewelry is constantly blossoming. There is still so much more to learn and so much more to create.
Btw, I am a recently retired counselor and am married to the same wonderful guy for 32 1/2 years.  We have 2 grown sons.  We live with 2 cats who graciously allow us to live with them--LOL!
Here are some samples of my passion:

Hi everyone! My name is Eleanore and I make and sell beads made from all sorts of fiber materials. Most of my beads are ready made but I do quite a bit of custom work too! I'm so happy to have found a place where I can meet people who are in and also outside of Etsy. I've been looking for a way to ask questions and meet new people in the creative world beyond the Etsy gates.
I love to laugh and have a good time. Looking forward to all the great personalities I see here tonight.

Hello Everyone!

My name is Judy and I just found your forum through Twitter. I live in Toronto, Canada and look forward to also meeting others in my neck of the woods as well as new friends worldwide. I am so glad to finally have a place to share with other link (like) minded souls. Although I work full-time outside the area of jewelry making, I find one of the ways for me to relax and forget my troubles is to make jewelry. It's also portable to a degree so I can take it with me and work on new pieces while visiting family.

Thank you to those who make the forum possible.
Cheers
Judy

Introduce myself
« Reply #293 on: July 14, 2009, 07:30:00 AM »
I make hardwood cheese, bread and cutting boards. So what? Big deal! Everyone made one in High School Wood Shop. So what makes me so special and this lens special? I have over 55 years of experience making fine wooden products for the home. Nothing I have done before has been as rewarding. The artistic creativity available in making my kitchen products and seeing the pleasure they bring to others is a huge ego reward. What makes these products so good is that they are not only beautiful to look at & to touch, but that they are 100% functional. I have taken the experience of all these years starting with my "indentured" apprenticeship to my father (a master craftsman from Germany) up to now and am sharing these techniques before they become lost to time.

Hi To All ^_^

My name is Karina. 39 Y/o , married, 3 Childs ( 2 Girls and 1 Boy ). I Love all Crafts in Special Polymer Clay

In March 2006 I discovered the wonderful world of Polymer Clay - and since that day - I practice daily so I can learn new techniques !

I love experimenting with clay and creating just about everything - but I especially enjoy making jewelry in which I use many different techniques, using canes that I make and enhancing the beauty of the canes and techniques with Glass beads and Swarovski Crystals in many occasions.

Also, I have entered the wonderful creative world of Fantasy Figurines which I also make out of Polymer Clay!

Here is my Flickr album of creations up to date with tons of pictures:

Hugs To All :)

Good Morning all!    My name is Tracey and I am a jewelry designer and the creator of a unique line of jewelry made with nail polish :)  (like the ring in my avatar).

I started my Etsy store when I lost my job (of ten years) and needed another way to provide income for my family.  I have enjoyed selling on Etsy, although not too many sales, and recently opened an Artfire shop as well.  (barely any traffic there though)

I am looking forward to reading this forum and hoping to get tips on how to become a better seller on Etsy and Artfire. :)

You can find my stores here:

Thanks!

You do that stuff with nail polish?  How cool!  I love nail colors, but never would have thought of wearing them as jewelry.  Welcome
