Yes they are flexibles!I designed my bracelets to make them fit every wrist size: they can be tightened and stretched as you like!

You should post pictures of them in the jewelry section of the handmade gallery here!

Greetings from the west end of the East

Here is Istanbul, the west end of the East. Here, we still have ateliers left unconquered by the production lines.

Orientina is a new atelier, using old techniques. We create objects which carry the spirit of the East and the legacy of the Ottoman, Byzantine, Mesopotamian and Anatolian cultures.

We have a diverse collection: Bijoux decorated with, silver and natural gems, bags made of authentic clothes with colorful embroideries, silk shawls colored with natural dyes and many other accessories...

We Have many original pieces for home, too: Iznik pottery decorating Eastern palaces, coffee cups and decorative pieces, copper items created using metal punching technique, lamps and chandeliers made of colorful mosaics and blown glass, Turkish coffee accessories, natural soaps and towels that are an integral part of the hamam, beeswax candles produced using Byzantine techniques and many other authentic designs of the East...

Orientinas are hand made with old techniques that are near extinction, by craftsmen that have mastered their art and with manual labor, patience and imagination...

Silk Road is at your service, once again.

Just introducing myself.  I'm a wife, mother, grandmother, retired medical language specialist who loves to make jewelry.  My favorites materials are anything vintage, cameos, gemstones and pearls.  I have shops on Etsy, Zibbet and Artfire, where I sell jewelry as well as supplies for bottlecap, scrabble, domino and dog tag jewelry.

I hope to contribute something useful to the forum.

God has richly blessed me.

Also new here.  Actually found my way here via twitter =)  Someone I'm following(sorry don't remember who know), and actually I think there are a few and kept seeing the hashtag HAF followed it to the twitter account started following on twitter then followed to here! =)

Anyway my daughter and I have been making jewelry and selling it.  We started on Etsy and still there actually just under a year =/  I have become a total beadaholic.  I have to be careful when I go in to buy supplies because there is so much I'd like to buy! haha  But until it really takes off I have to limit what I invest right now =/

It's been a big learning experience though trying to sell online and I'm still learning and exploring.  Various forums, blogs, twitter,facebook.....

I look forward to exploring and checking blogs, facebooks, twitters and all that good stuff too! =)

Joly Jewels: Light up your personality!

As a Belgian girl traveling through Latin America and Asia, I learnt a lot. About culture, beliefs, history, ways of living. I also discovered a new passion: making jewelry.

Since 2000 I combined my expat job as pedagogical advisor with jewelry making. I prefer working with silver and semi-precious stones to create my own style. I like to combine them with glass, pearls and shells.

The materials I use carry some travel adventure with them. Everywhere I pass, I am absorbed by colors and materials. I bought materials in Ecuador, Morroco, Guatemala, Turkey, Sardinia, Thailand, Spain etc.

In this way, each of my jewels is a small global construction, with influences from lots of countries.

It would be great if my jewels would continue their trip towards people all over the globe, for a never ending adventure.

I also believe in the energetic power of each stone. Believe in your intuition, pick what attracts you: it's good for you.

I can make personalized items upon request.

Please don't hesitate to contact me for more information.

Greetings, All.
I can't seem to fix on just one or two genres as I have a tendency to
Squirrel!
Umm...
get distracted by the pretty shiny things and nifty tools.
Very recently, I learned how to use a lathe and discovered neat stuff to do with engraving and am in the middle of experimenting with etching and electroplating on metal. I do calligraphy, illumination and heraldry as well and they have all added to my artistic and crafty efforts.
