(SOLVED) How are keywords related to search?
« on: February 10, 2013, 02:42:37 PM »
Hi, I am new here and trying to figure out the system used by Handmade Artists for the onsite search engine.

I would think that if you entered some of the keywords attached to an item that the search engine would pull up that item and include it in the list of possibilities.  I am not talking about being first on the list or optimization.  I just want to not get the no item listed alert.

So what does the search engine search for?

thanks to all!

Thanks to Chat Team....

OK, I understand the system now.  Search does not comprehend multiple tags separated with a comma.  Search wants ONE word or ONE phrase.  If a multiple word phrase is used as a tag, the Search will find that.  But if you use two keywords seperated  by a comma, then search does not look for two tags that match and will return NO ITEMS FOUND.

I am informed that with the upcoming development of a new HA site, this will be addressed.
