Seed Beads on Wire?

I'd make a pair hoop earrings with non-tarnish wire and seed beads. 22 gauge wire would be used, Is 20 gauge is too thick for seed beads?

That would depend on the size of your seed beads.  What size are you using?

You can purchase larger seed beeds that have larger holes.

I use Miyuki (sp)11/0 and most of the time I can get 22 and 24 gauge wire to work.  If I use other seed beads which I rarely do, then 'not so much' as the holes are not the same. and neither are the sizes.

If you use 6/0 and 8/0 seed beads, then you could use 20 gauge wire easily, just remember to bend loosely as the seed bead will break if you put them in a bind.

15/0 seed beads 26  and 28 gauge wire is probably the largest you might be able to use.

I've put all different sizes on wire. Pam is right though about not making them too tight together. I've done that and broke beads. Then you have a huge gap and have to undo things to fix it. Not fun.

Thanks Pam, I chose to use the 6/0 and 20 guage wire, and it is really very suitable ~
