Im new! Does my shop look ok?
« on: October 19, 2012, 06:11:37 PM »
Hi I just opened my shop today and loaded up my first ring.

Does my shop look okay? I am so used to all the stuff I had to do at etsy that I love the simplicity here.

Any thoughts would be nice  :)

I think your shop looks fine.  I would add an announcement and something about yourself.  I am not sure how the spider webs in your banner relate to your shop contents.  In the forum, it is helpful if you add your shop link address to your signature.
Good luck and welcome.

Welcome! You can add your links to your signature by hovering over Profile (top left of this page) then click forum profile - there is a box to enter all your links ie shops, facebook, twitter, blog etc

Also, a little more description on your item would be helpful - and beneficial. Size, materials and so on. Need anything else just ask!

Thank you so much Andrea!

The crazy thing is that I already have more views on the one item then I did for a week on my whole shop on Etsy. How is this possible?  :o

New items are for the most part tweeted automatically to well over 100,000 followers. As well as on Facebook, Stumble, Plurk and tons more places. The only time this may be fewer is if there are more than one item being listed at the same time then who knows how many hits it will get. Also know, you can post your items here in the forum (under jewelry) and it will be promoted yet again. Please read the Please Read This!!!! thread before posting though.

That is amazing! I think I just fell in love again  :-* :-* :-*

I couldn't get a view in edge wise at Etsy. I have 19 more items to list and another dozen to edit photos then upload. This will be a busy weekend lol

Good luck with your listings.  If your first one is any indication, I am going to love your shop.

Love the products. I would not have listed my sections until I was ready to have something there.  I find that it may be a downer for buyers if they check your shop and look in the sections and see nothing there. BUt since you are editing and listing you should have that solved in no time.

Right about the banner, what do the spider webs mean.  My first banner had beads on it, then I won a free banner and this was the one I liked best.  No beads, but it is simple and straightforward just like me so it suits me and I love it.

Good Luck and welcome

I thought your spider web meant that you were the spider-lady of something, twisting your mysterious wire webs . . . but I get a little dramatic sometimes. Probably best to keep it sweet & simple so people don't have to guess.
