Pirates!
« on: October 10, 2012, 10:50:09 AM »
I love, love, love to knit.  Can't crochet to save my life!  Knitting is my way of relaxing, I don't sell the items I make, because  I am selfish and knit just for me or friends and give the item away.  I just finished this, and I love it!  Red is my favorite color, and this is my new winter hat.

I did.  There is another hat I have seen that has similar Skull and Crossbones, but I took Knitting Chart paper and colored in the squares until I got the shape I wanted, I have also designed a Raven (Bird) Illusion pattern fora scarf.

That's cool! Knitting chart paper? similar to chart paper or different?  I've used the 1/4" paper in a pinch but really do prefer the smaller squares.

As a "femailler" I like to chart things, or have written instructions that I can follow.  This graph paper is made for knitting and based on St. per inch.  You knit a square that 4" you count 27 rows by 21 stitches.  Divide 27 x 21 and you get 1.28 (Aspect Ratio), I can then print out a sheet of Graph paper that will fit my swatch size and I can add a pattern from there with the correct n umber of stitches / rows for the pattern

You can go here for Aspect Ratio graph paper and knitters graph (chart) paper, too, they also have just a plain old graph paper.  Lots of sites offer this now.
