Suggestion: Using Animoto as a promotional tool?
« on: September 22, 2012, 09:59:04 AM »
One of my team members on Etsy created a little promotional video for our team, using Animoto.com and then posted it on youtube. This could be a fun and different way of promoting the HA site or you can make one for your own shop, too.

This is what Sylvie created:

I've been doing them for my site and for handmade general.  They are fun to make, the only promotional issue is that it is as difficult to get the videos seen as to attract people to your site.  I upgraded to the pay version and would be happy to make one for anyone who wants.  I love doing it, it helps with missing production work.

When Monika first mentioned it & Lisa reiterated right around the same time, I made some for Reef Botanicals & one for face painting, one for body painting.  I should do one for Fabric of my Mind (or take Lisa up on her offer). At the very least, they're fun!

I think doing one for HAF in general is a cool idea.

Thanks, my offer is sincere.  I am actually thinking of upgrading to pro when I have some money available.  It isn't producing, but it keeps me more in the habit of working with pictures, music and a few words.

I have the pay version also. I used it both for here and for my B&M store. They are fun to do and really simple. I did several with the free version first to see if I really liked it and I did. I need to make some new ones.

I think I will try out the free version to see if it works for me.  Can't go to the paid version since I just lost my part time job.  No fault of my own, boss is a liar and now I am waiting for my pay after he caused me to have checks returned by giving me a bad check.  Oh woe est me   This too shall pass.

If you send me a bunch of photos that you want to include in one, I will be happy to do one for you.  I can do it without an extra charge.

Can anyone tell me if we can attach these little video clips to our FB fan page.  I did not see anywhere that I could ask on the site.
