Jewellery, in miniature
« on: July 22, 2012, 12:44:39 PM »
I havent shared here for the longest time, so I figured it was about time.
I still make jewellery, but generally it isn't human sized these days. I spend a lot of time challenging myself to recreate what I know in a smaller size.
Mostly my work is 1:6th scale, suitable for fashion sized dolls ie Barbie. This is due to my recent obsession with customising dolls.

A Cellini spiral.

A twisted spiral finished with Green Onyx

A polymer clay faux ammonite with tiny freshwater coin pearls

A beautiful, if tiny, gemstone briolette.. cannot remember what the stone is LOL

And a bead embroidered collar with gemstone cabochons

Sorry about pic quality, really need to photograph and list these properly LOL one day

My fingers ache just looking at these tiny treasures, they are so neat! I believe the unknown stone is Chrysophase or Jade.

LOL!! @ moves and I still have boxes in the attic I have no clue about. When I move again, I plan to move much lighter and with a lot less stuff. I don't need it if I haven't seen it in 20 years and don't remember I have it!

Wow! What an eye for detail on such a small scale. Wonderful creations!
