Member sites, signature lines etc
« on: June 08, 2009, 08:10:19 AM »
Hello,

I would like to thank all who have responded favorably to offering discounts to HAF members.

I have noticed that quite a few members do not have their sites, etsy, artfire, blog etc listed in their signature lines. This is a very easy way for others to go directly to your sites and view your items and drool, purchase....( directions for this are posted somewhere, "Andrew???"

I personally would also like to ask all members to be sure their location is on their profile.  Many times I have wanted to see how close a member is but their location is not listed on the profile.

All you do is go to your profile which is on the top tool bar and once in your profile on the left side click Forum Profile Information and fill it out.

Just so it's posted here, below is an example of both banner and text links. To make a banner link, an img link in BB code can be wrapped directly in a url tag. What I can't remember, is how to trick the board into letting me demonstrate...

I seem to have a problem with part of my signature.  I added the link to my HAF shop a while ago, but just now found out that it's not working properly.  For some reason it takes you to the HAF shop main page, and not to my store even though I have it typed in correctly. Any idea how to fix this? The only thing I can think of that might be causing this problem is that there is a space between each word in my shop's name, but what's odd is that it works just fine everywhere else that I've posted it except here.

I changed your sig. There has got to be a better way to do it though and yes it is the space. The actual link is http://handmadeartistsshop.com/shop/Handmaden%20Designs it adds that %20 in there for the space. Not sure why. I tried to put it in HTML like you had it and it would not take for some reason.

Are you allowed to promote websites and online stores outside of HAF? Because I have a blog of my own, a website for the brick and mortar store I own, and an online store on Storenvy.com.
