Twin Ruby Pendant

(1/3) > >>

gemlover:
My granddaughter will turn 18 next month.  She was an honor graduate from high school this year.  She will be going to the University of Florida next year with a full scholarship based on academic ability.  Her mother (daughter) took her to Italy as a graduation present.  Every year for the past several, Raven has received a piece of jewelry made with a ruby (July Birthstone).  This year, I took a twin ruby gemstone, flattened the surfaces and polished them, then wire wrap with Sterling silver.  Soldered the bail to the rest of the wrap, then polished and burnished it to a high shine, and here it is:

Thanks for looking, I enjoy designing and making these items.  As an addition, Debora and I mined this gemstone at the Pigeon Forge Gem Mine, Tennessee.

Very, very nice, John.  Your granddaughter is going to be thrilled. :0)

Larissa:
Gorgeous!  And hey, ruby's my birthstone too (hint, hint).

sandalee:
Very nice!!!

gemlover:
Thanks.  Larissa, what would you like?  I have two hexagonal cabochons about 28 mm across.  Could make a great pendant.
