I was thrilled when I found this ivory & sparkly sport weight yarn on sale - now wishing I had bought more than 3 skeins!
I'm really happy with the way these turned out, especially since I did both without a pattern! Sort of wrote my own on these!
Fingerless gloves are elbow length at 13" long and 8" around.

and to show off the pattern a little better

and the matching cloche style hat at 20" around and 8" tall

Both are listed on Handmade Artists shop

OOPS forgot to write down the hook size I used!

Well, Teresa, you have warm hands and arms, but you still can get the change outta your wallet, dial your tiny button phone and so on....got a good grip on the steering wheel and are still warm.....something like that....LOL

I'm seeing it more now with smartphones.  Can't do anything with a smartphone without taking your gloves off unless you go fingerless.

Ah, Teresa Thank You!  that's the tag I forgot to put!  some people actually list fingerless gloves as texting gloves! and thank you - re: very nice
And thank you Monika for explaining!
Last year when I was in Co. Sprgs. I frequently wore fingerless gloves over my other gloves!  I could still manage to do some things with my full gloves, but the fingerless ones, helped keep my hands a little warmer.
They can also be nice for brides to wear - need the fingers bare!
Andrea - lo I  was actually surprised how quickly these went together, even with figuring out the pattern.

those are beautiful!  Andy doesn't get fingerless gloves/mittens either.  Every time I make a pair he tells me "Your fingers will get cold!"   :police:

well yeah, the fingers can get cold if you are out in the cold, but that's not the whole idea behind them, I don't think!  These certainly aren't!

gorgeous stitch do you know that name? I can totally see a Victorian or shabby chic girl wearing those in a photo shoot.
