Not sure where this stands at the moment, but I thought I'd throw out an idea.

I can't remember which site I saw this on but the home page of the venue had a slideshow that I think was tied into a flickr account.  Photos of members' work were uploaded and a continuous slide show was embedded right on the home page showing the work of the members. If I remember correctly you could also click on an individual photo and it would display the information for that piece on the flickr site.  (Sorry so vague, but I looked at soooo many venues before deciding on this one. It wasn't CraftStar, they do seller videos.)

I was thinking that might be a good way to feature everyone's sold orders, maybe?

I do know the one thing I didn't like about it was there were too many of the same seller displayed back to back with different categories all mixed in.  So if you were primarily interested in one category, you had to sit thru several photos of things you might not have been interested in or were looking for.  The mix wasn't as 'mixed' as it could have been if that makes any sense.

Another thought if you like this idea would be to maybe have one on the main page with a 'mix' of items sold in all categories and one on each category main page with just sold items that pertain to that category.

Just a few thoughts.  :)

After reading more thru the forum, I see that HAF does have a flickr slideshow, too.  I don't see it when I go to the homepage.  How is this accessed by shoppers who may not go thru the forums, but just to the HAF Shops homepage?

Morning, Andrew. LOL. Giving me the link is all well and good, but I was looking for something on the HAFShops homepage that would lead someone there as a new visitor/shopper.

Why would you want a flickr gallery on the homepage of the site. The idea is to lead people to HAF not to flickr.
You get to it through the blog. But like I said it is not there to lead people to flickr that would make no sense. It there for people on flickr to find us.

I see your point.  I was just thinking it might work to embed it or set it up to open in a new window as an answer to how to display the HAF sold items, not to lead people to flickr.

Just thinking out loud and trying to come up with helpful suggestions/solutions when I read you were trying to think of a way to do something.

No I was just joking. The idea of the flickr gallery is mainly so people can find us on flickr or find you here. What happens is when you click on a pic in the flickr gallery it takes you to flickr and will hopefully find more of your work there. Check your flickr profile and look for your links, no matter where you sell. It really is just another outreach effort not a main element.
As far as a gallery of sold items goes, it is on the list. I honestly like how artfire handles it, where you can move an item into a sold gallery in your shop. It will go there if you sell your item somewhere else like on another venue or at a craft show. So you still have the listing and the incoming link to your shop.
As far as apologizing goes, please speak your mind we want to hear what you have to say, but you do not have to apologize for speaking your mind. Your opinion is valued. Hope that makes sense.
