I want to make a Mini Dress form, any ideas?

I have come up with an idea that I want to create but no clue how to go about it..its hard to describe but I will do my best.

I want to create something that looks like a miniature dress form and no clue how to create it. I need to figure out what to use as the base so I can wrap it in fabric so the fabric is form fitting to this form base.

any thoughts or ideas? Thanks

Could you form heavy art wire into a base?  It would be light but if this is not a piece that will take abuse it should hold up.

I agree - wire is a good way to go. Also, paper mache' is another option. I was on youtube and searched "dress form tutorial" - lots of thing popped up there too.

Have you figured out how to do it yet?  I was going to suggest chicken wire. and then paper mache' over it.
