Well, it was just me 'n' him at the time.

And yeah, I unplugged the laptop last night when I saw the storm.  I once had a power cord fried from a surge during a storm.  I was glad it did its job and protected my computer, but the cord alone was about $65.

Meanwhile, I'm pissed.  My laptip battery was charging only sporadically, so I had to keep it plugged in to use it.  Got a brand new battery yesterday.... and it was also having trouble charging.  Which means it wasn't my battery that was the issue.  It's either my power cord or the motherboard.  Nifty.

Good luck with the computer.  I am on power cord #3 with my Macbook.  Luckily, they were during the warranty.
