Question about messaging via HAFshop

Evening, sorry if this question is in the wrong place - how does messaging work on HAFshop? Specifically does a buyer get the opportunity to add a message to the seller with their order?

I am currently dreaming up and working on a complete range of personalised made to order and ready to wear beads which I would really like to list and promote via HAFshop.

If someone orders a set of big hole bracelet beads with their name on will they be able to tell me the details I would need to know as part of the buying/checkout process?

They would have to do it via "message to seller" on Paypal when they check out, it would be nice if there were a chance to do so via HAF Shop when the purchase is made though....maybe one day!

Thank you, I know that HAF forum regulars would get how it could work just fine then, I'm wondering if would be too off-putting for Joe Public? Perhaps it's not plausable to offer a bespoke service via HAFshop?

I think HAFshop is great but I've not yet been able to make fully good use of my store' I've two preschoolers and not enough hours in the day to be able to sufficently stock multiple selling platforms with different things. (or perhaps I am just to disorganised - I find stock control nightmare when something is listed in more than one place)

I am new to the HAFshop messaging, but it did alert me via email that I received a message. It was nice that the email also included the message so I knew if it was something I needed to respond to immediately or not. Last night was the first time I received a message so it took some fumbling around to find it as I kept looking for something at the top of the page of the site when I logged in to alert me that I had a new message.

I think the feature you are describing would be great to have for many of those who do custom orders!

Many members also tell customers to leave any special instructions via paypal when they check out.  We are working on adding the feature for customers to leave a message for you during checkout as well...as we keep growing and changing more and more features should be available but it takes time.

I think that HAFshop is fabulous, no matter how fast things evolve there will always be someone awkward asking for more or different or sticking in their 2 cents worth. I just wish there were more hours on the day to create or that I could be able to be more organised with my stock control!

Glad you understand!  Yes, we get a lot of requests for features and some are on the lists, some are "Doh, why didn't we think of that?" and some are never going to happen...but we do our best.
