I have a good friend who also has this and it is awful. Amazing how many people are unaware.

Hopefully more event like this will make more people aware of invisible illnesses.  I've spent a lot of time explaining to people what it is over the years and it gets frustrating sometimes "But you don't look/act/seem sick" is a common answer.  It was very cool to see families walking together and guys wearing "I wear purple for my girlfriend" tshirts.  Doubt those young guys know what they are signing up for having a girlfriend with Lupus, but to see them supporting them is very cool!
