Summer Sunflower Glasses
« on: June 01, 2009, 05:38:40 AM »
I haven't been painting much because of too much other stuff going on, but the other day I had to sit down and play for a bit just to get away.

I lived in Kansas for almost five years and found a field, not a patch like a farmer's FIELD of sunflowers. You cannot be in a bright field of sunflowers and be depressed.

I love the green 'stems'. Good detail!

There's just something about sunflowers!  When I lived out in the "mountains" the suflowers would grow along the side of the road - it was great miles of sunflowers - and then the fields of sunflowers.

I have a tabletop I started with one large sunflower on it - need to get it finished!

Love the way you do these Kimberly!

Those are the nicest painted glasses I've seen in a while. Sunflowers are so happy. It must be wonderful seeing them smiling back at you while drinking from these.  :)  And I love how it looks like flames from the side. - Marie
