I do like your handmade wire work clasp (but would agree it needs to be a bit bulkier to go with the width of the bracelet).

But I'm going to have to go with the magnetic/covered version.  It looks downright professional that way.

Well thank you very much!  I thought so too.  And I must inform everyone, the wire work clasp is totally new for me... and I mean BABY NEW! LOL  I am looking into taking a class about wire wrapping (I could get obsessed with it I can tell) so for now it is fun to try.

Update on sleeping experiment -  I spoke to my mother today and she said "The Braidlet was still on her wrist... she had no issues with it coming off."  And she LOVES the clasp (she has arthritis in her fingers) so it is much easier for her to work with.

Thanks everyone for all your help... I really do appreciate all the suggestions!  Hugs to all!   8)

I like the handmade one myself. When I make them, I will sometimes add a matching or coordinating bead  to it before I make the wrapped loop. When you make the bend to form the hook, the tip will come to the bead and help keep it from sliding open easily.

Great tip Teresa... ;D  I'll have to try and make one. It has been super busy here at my house and I'm not busy making jewelry... :'(   Hopefully soon I'll be back with my tools and beads!

Thanks again everyone for your input!  ;D

I love the look of the first, the wire clasp.  Very delicate and fine looking.  Very pretty!

Ain't it the truth?  I've made countless clasps and I STILL have to look at one to make another!!!
