Finally figured this technique out
« on: January 23, 2012, 01:30:28 PM »
After more false starts than I care to think about I finally figured out InterLace knitting.  So far I have a pillow and am now working on a blanket that should be done in the next 5 years or so...what can I say?  I knit slow and this pattern takes more thinking than I can give sometimes.

Is interlace different as entrelac?  Because they look very very similar!  With entrelac you knit your triangles and then when you come back you have to pick up stitches that forms them into the squares.

Doh!  I forgot to say that your pillow is lovely!  Looks very soft and cuddly!

Same thing, different name for same techniques.  I am a major novice knitter but can usually figure patterns out.  This one just took me a while to understand the directions and I'd get to a point and go "Hu?"  :-\   Now I think I have a handle on

You know me better than that.  How many mistakes don't count...only the finished product.  I get as many do overs as I need.

Sounds like French & English for the same things.

Beautiful pillow!  Man, I still have so much to learn.

Wow - that's pretty fabulous! I knit pretty ok but never tried this technique
It isn't bad once I figured out how it goes together.  It was the figuring that was getting me.  I have a whopping 3 rows of a blanket done (5 minutes here and 5 minutes there) but it is coming along!
