A couple of new chainmaille pieces from me
« on: May 29, 2009, 07:01:16 AM »
I have been experimenting with Byzantine weaves and variants recently.
So I made earrings, with anodised niobium and glass crystals, and a bracelet in pink and green anodised aluminium.

Thanks for looking.

Very pretty!  I love the Romanov earrings-I do a lot of them with copper and turquoise rounds.  The colors you chose gave them an entirely different look...more feminine.

Back in the 80s, everyone was wearing pink and green and I HATED it.  But you know... I'm looking at that and it says "tulips!" to me and I like it.

And of course I adore the earrings.  You can't go wrong with niobium.  In niobium the fuschia and teal are gorgeous together.

Those are great!  The byz weave variant is fun, and those earrings are gorgeous. The bead is the absolute perfect size--fills the center out perfectly!  Nicely done.

But Romanov is only one bead!  Surely you can handle ONE bead!

Love them both!  :)

I could handle one bead, it's all those rings that scare me  :o

I love them both, I might dip in to niobium soon.

Haffina, what's the pink and green piece's weave? It looks challenging! ;D

yep - it's all those rings that are scarey!

Really like the earrings!

I really appreciate the weave on the bracelet - funny I like pink and green together, but not that pink and green - but again - I'm probably not really your target market  - so go with it!
