There were three of us with our goodies there. a potter was the host, also a woman who does the most amazing art gourds and me.. I was moderatly successful, and I had a good time.

Decent turn out and decent sales...so all in all worth doing.  Next year though I will do it a bit earlier so I don't feel quite so pressed with a party and all the Christmas stuff at the same time.

Sell it as Chanukah shopping - then it's ok to start earlier!  The first night of Chanukah next year is 12/8!

Works for me! I could try that at my store, BUT not a huge Jewish population around here as far as I know. I would end up being converted to someones church I can guarantee. It's happened already both at the store and at home from the gas man.

Yeah, down south there are pockets of Jewish communities.  There's apparently a large Jewish population in Atlanta that surprised me, for instance.

I've had people try to convert me.  It's obnoxious and egomaniacal.  Anyone tries it with you, remind them that pride is one of the 7 deadly sins and by thinking they're right and you're wrong/they're better than you, they'e exhibiting pride.  So there.
