Sealing Paint on glass
trusk4u:
I have some glassware that I want to paint. In fact I already did some. I had bought these paint pens that are good on glass, but it's not staying very well. After it sits for a few days, it's better, but still not great. Can I put some type of sealer on it to make it more stable? I'd like them to at least be hand washable without the paint coming off. Would clear Krylong work or will it yellow? Thanks for any help guys!

What kind of paint are you using, Teresa? I would imagine Kimberly would have an idea, she paints on glass, maybe send her a message? I unfortunately have no idea short of Googling it. ???

I just might have to do that. I just didn't want to bother her knowing how busy she always is. I'll have to check the paint when I get home. I'm pretty sure it's acrylic. Thanks for responding. ;)

I have no idea what to tell you about acrylic. I use enamel and bake it on to set it permanent (so permanent in fact that is can go in the dishwasher!). I know that if I have a piece that I can't bake on, like a couple of crystal glasses I did as a special request, I have to let it set for 21 days to become completely permanent. Hope this helps!
