Sealants for beads

I am trying to make my own German Shepherd picture beads. I am re-sizing my images to fit my shell, glass and gemstone beads. I have the E-6000 to seal the images to the beads - now to seal them. A two-fold question: I had read that if using the ink jet type printer, first coat images with Modpodge so that the ink would not run later. Later another artist suggested maybe not. After the images are glued, what do you think would be the best brand sealant? Would it really be Modpodge? The German Shepherds and I thank you!

I used ModPodge with inkjet photos when I was playing around with decoupage, it made the ink run. I am trying to remember what I ended up using. I'll look through my supplies, I think I still have some.

You could try polymerising the images. You put a very thin coat of liquid polymer clay on one side of the image, cure according to bottle instructions, then repeat with the other side.
This seals the image and makes it waterproof.
It can then be stuck to other things. Ive tried it on magazine pages, inkjet printed text and other images - no running ink.

Any particular brand!!! I'm glad you mentioned about ModPodge - I can't remember where I read that inkjet sheets should be coated with it first to prevent bleeding!! On a jewelry supply site, they suggested using a lip balm stick, but didn't specify which kind and there are dozens of different formulas for lip balm..............
