lol that shirt is awesome!  :D

I agree about the shirt! AS for my house, it's 85% IKEA stuff. I've done the "country" thing and yes, the matchy matchy thing. Now my house is full of color, bright but not glaring. It's quite Scandanavian looking, but maybe it's because I am a little Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian. ;D (That's just my Dad's side)

I really like IKEA style... but hate the store.  It actually gives me panic attacks.  I feel like I'm stuck in a black hole and can't get out.

Which is kind of redundant if you know the nature of a black hole, huh?

I've never been to Ikea but I love looking at their stuff online and am thankful although annoyed that most of their stuff you can't actually buy online.

I LOVE that shirt!!

Hey there's really nothing wrong with things matching if that's what you want - and collections of whatever you       collect are great,  I have a few myself - collections that is!
My daughter was moving into her apt in Alb. when a lady drove by and said something about getting most of her furniture off the sidewalk in NY!  I think that's so cool - but what gets me is that most of the stuff I've rescued has been literally out of the dumpster at the large apt complex where I live - and there's a Goodwill right next door!  I've given a lot of furniture and clothes that were in great shape to shelters and such over the years from people just throwing things away when they move!  some of it's needed a little fixing up, and some of it has been in great shape.  ok, I know that has nothing to do with originality, and I guess I'm actually glad in some ways that people have thrown the stuff away - I've gotten some pretty good furniture from it!  Some of it has been left next to the dumpster, and then the guys that work there come by and toss it in!

My extra towel stand is from the area on my floor where the garbage goes.  It has a small dent in the base.  Shortly after I "rescued" it, I saw it without the dent for $500.  I am so happy my standards allow dents. :)

Seriously!  And if you're anti-dent I'm sure you're creative enough to find a way to mask it.  Some people just have no vision.

Hard to find great street stuff down here, but when we lived in Illinois, wow! There was an townhome community not far from us that had a lot of people coming and going and they would throw out the most awesome stuff! I've come home with dressers, tables, a chair, clothing racks, all kinds of stuff. All in good shape. Sometimes it got a paint job, or just cleaned up. When our kids moved out into their own places, they got most of it.
