YAY!
Oh yeah, Larissa and anyone else - I have found that putting a plastic bag over the seed pots really helps keep the moisture in and these tiny plants don't have to be watered as often.  Direct sunlight can become hazardous though!

As I was enjoying a piece of baked chicken with fresh basil and rosemary I tried to post a picture, but my computer just froze up - so I'm trying it again!
No, it's not a vegie or a fruit, it's my hibiscus 4 weeks after I bought it last year!  It was almot dead when I brought it home - got it for a great price!

I think I got  5 flowers on it last year, so far this year, this is the 5th one!

that is beautiful!  I have 2 hibiscus plants in front, but the kids keep running over 1 with a mower.  They don't run over the 2nd one.  It's leaves make it look like a marijuana plant.  Maybe that's why????

Since these aren't the seed starter trays with all the little compartments & the plastic lid, I put baggies upside-down over each pot so it still had that greenhouse effect.

Taking them off made the chamomile start drying out, so I put them back.

Thanks Larissa.
Yeah I usually leave the bags on until the plants are a couple of inches.

Debbi - thank you!  a hibiscus plant with leaves that look like marijuana???? really!
Too bad the one keeps getting mowed down!

I had a really pretty one a few years ago - somebody stole it off my patio!   I had two plants that were both white with red centers produce seeds a number of years ago, I had wanted to grow some from those seeds and try to get the stolen one to seed and then cross pollinate them.    I have one plant left that is now 3 years old, and some new seedlings from this year, but I think it may be a while before they produce flowers.   I almost killed the 3 yr old one - so it's struggling, but hanging in there!

they are a finiky plant.  I had 2 "regular" hibiscus that's suppose to come back every year, but 1 kept getting mowed over.  Then I found this amazing one at a green house to replace the mowed one, but it looked different (like marijuian leaves).  I was told that it would only grow for one year.  That was 4 years ago.  Now this year the kids keep mowing over my other "regular" one.  I just can't seem to keep my landscape balanced. hahaha

We do have a garden.  I let my hubs plant with whatever he wants, as he usually ends up tending it.

Right now we have summer squash and cukes coming out our ears, and lots of herbs.  Corn is nearly ready, I think, as is butternut squash.  He needs to replant turnips as we've already eaten most of those.  I don't know what all else he has out there except some watermelon for me (he hates it! LOL)  Tomatoes are coming on slow. They were late to flower and didn't flower very profusely this year.   It didn't help that the chickens ate a bunch of the tomato plants.  They loooove tomato plants.   I wish it were only the hornworms they would eat, as they love those, too.   But no.

Can't begrudge them too much as they do keep us in plenty of fresh rich eggs and a wee bit of egg money.  Not much, just some pocket change for the husband when he takes a few dozen into work.

I wish that I had a garden! I tried to grow some of those
mini tomatoes in a pot and I got a few off the vine before
they died. ::)

^-^ Then swing by Fidela’s house and have some of that watermellon…. THEN….

Stop by Larissa’s to be fitted for a new sweater! LOL 8)

Speaking of Larissa… How is the lavender coming along?
