This year our veggies are much more organized. Eric & our friend EJ cleaned out the garden box last week, and today Eric planted cukes, peas, beans, one watermelon (the mini sort), bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, mesclun, mustard greens, lettuce, chard, and cherry tomatoes.
We've also got a blueberry bush started by the side of the driveway, around which I tossed a wildflower "butterfly & hummingbird" mix, and they all seem to be growing like crazy. Every time we look throughout the day there seem to be more flower plants springing up.
In another area, we planted 3 sunflowers that seem to be really strong, and some more flowers that are taking longer to germinate.
We have flourishing chives in one window box (one plant that's good for use, the other is flowering), and a bunch of other herbs still in the starter boxes.
So far so good!
