My garden is basically done for the year...except for the raspberries which just seem to go on and on!  I spent a few hours in the yard the other day pulling dead plants and planning for next year!

Hi Everyone!

WOW!  I missed everyone and the garden postings... But as all good things come to and end, my tomato plants are slowing down... bummer!

Hope everyone is doing well 'o)

I just picked a bunch of last minute beans and tomatoes yesterday.  Hoping for some more of the green tomatoes to turn orange before they go kaplooey.

:( My veggie garden burned up already from the Texas heat. I even watered every day, even made shelter for shade, but they just couldn't take the heat. All I have left is my jalepeno plants. I will be setting out some winter onion sets and spinach.

Yikes! With the awful drought you guys are in there it's a wonder anything survived! We had a pretty bad drought here a few years back, but it was no where near as bad as it is down there.

As long as they get some light they should ripen okay.

Well... just picked the last of my tomatoes off the vine.  It was fun while it lasted.  There's always next year!

Maybe I'll try cukes next year!

My garden is done for the year as well. I had so many tomatoes, I was sick of it. I gave a some to friends and neighbors. I just picked my last bell peppers this morning.

Hi my green thumb friends! :)  I wanted to take a few minutes and tell you how much fun I had, reading about different gardens and getting to know those who planted the seeds! LOL ;)
I learned a few things and I certainly laughed a lot as well… “Cukes” still puts a smile on my face! ;D

This isn’t farewell…  :o I hope we will all be back in the spring to share new stories, laughs, and show off our green thumbs…  ;) Thanks again everyone, see you around HAF… and I wish you all much success with your Handmade Artists Shop!

My garden burned up pretty quick in the Texas heat. But my jalepeno are still doing great. Next year I hope I have better luck. Just hope we don't have the heat like we had this year, I have lived in Texas all my life and I never remember a summer that scourched everything like it did this year.

Hi Linda,

Of course I heard about the Texas heatwave... and your Jalepeno's survived.... WOW!  LOL

On a serious note... I'm hoping with ya, next year isn't like this past summer!  ;)
