I ate  the four cherry tomatoes I picked the other day... sweet and delicious

Matt... nope I have not seen potato fruit? Interesting, you can't eat it but you can use the seeds?

I'm gonna plant some of the seeds this fall and next spring to see if they come up.

Yummy!
Strawberry plants can be kind of finicky to grow. They might have benefitted from a little shade cloth to keep the direct sun off and straw or some type of mulch around them, but not right to the plant to keep the soil cooler and damp. Of course if they are too wet, they will rot at the base.

Andy's aunt gave us 2 hanging baskets of strawberries and we hung them in our porch so they got some direct sunlight but not constant.  They did alright for the first 2 weeks and popped off a few small strawberries each.  Then I'm not sure if it was just the heat or what but they up and died.  We tried hanging them on our apple tree (which is dying :( ) so they get more sun but I think they're just goners!  :(

It could have been the hanging planters. They tend to dry out very quickly. I've tried having them in my yard  with flowers and they never did well no matter where I put them, so I gave up.

Some cherry tomatoes I picked yesterday. I have already picked so many in the last 3 weeks, I had to cook and freeze some.

Oh good, it isn't just Gina the plant killer striking again  ^-^

When I was 10 I killed a plant that you only had to water twice a year!   ???

OMG, I've killed several cacti, 4 or 5 California jades, an aloe, bamboo, 2 bonsai trees, 2 or 3 orchids, and god knows what else.  I leave this garden to E.  I try not to even look to closely at the veggies or they might wither.
