In honor of Larissa's one green been I present to you our one asparagus!

Also, we have a gourd plant that returns in a different spot every year...this year I decided to just let it go and fight to keep it from taking over my other plants.  So, every few days I go an detangle the dumb thing from my tomatoes and other plants and lay the runners out.  I guess now I need to find out how to dry gourds!

I haven't attempted anything this year. Last summer I had some tomatos. But they got taken over very quickly by large spider webs (I really do not like spiders) complete with the spiders.
Gardens in these parts have to be fenced and you need to do a lot of extra stuff to keep the deer and other assorted creatures out. My neighbors play a radio constantly in theirs and have double fencing spaced just right so the deer can't jump over. They have 4 kids, and still too much produce. We often get some. And we have a farm just down the road where we can get all kinds of stuff. All the benefits  and none of the work. ;)

I'm going to have go find myself a farm stand... that's all there is to it!

I like the "My one ______" part of this thread.   ;D

trusk4u: Spiders I can live with... but it's those Japanese beetles (the iridescent ones) they buzz by my head and SCARE  :o the heck out of me!

I love everybody's pictures!  Our garden has been growing quite nicely and we've definitely eaten lots out of it!  The strawberry plants Andy's aunt gave us have been slowly popping out strawberries, but they've been eaten right as they get red :D  Our tomatoes have been delicious, beans tasty and the cucumber!  Our one jalapeno was toooooo hot for my taste.  :(  Yesterday Andy made pickled beans and we tried one today and yum!
