Meadow wine glass set, hand-painted
« on: June 08, 2011, 08:53:59 AM »
I started to paint them in the middle of February and it took more than 3 months to paint them all. Of course I have not painted them all the time, I have vacations and tight schedule at work, etc. But it's a lot of time anyway. This is my first glass painting creations, so it has some lacks and space to improve my skills.

But my glass looks entirely different!  One of the things I love about art is how you can take the same craft and materials and end up with something entirely different.

It does look entirely different, but you know how much work creating a piece like takes. I'm not convinced that people really KNOW.

I just took a look on your glass work and you know what did I figure out? It's some kind of an art circle :)  When I was looked for glass painting examples there were couple of your glass painting that inspired me   :)

Glad I could help!  I do that underside painting on a couple of patterns and people at shows love to pick them up and spin them while looking inside.

Those are absolutely gorgeous!  In fact I quit - I'll just send you all my paints!  no, not really!
If you are using what I think you are using, yes it takes time to do - air dry paint? looked at your blog.  I know exactly what you mean about the glass you wanted to keep - I have several ornaments that I was reluctant to put up for sale - they haven't sold yet, so I may keep them anyway!
And yes, yours, mine, Kimberly's - pretty much the same materials, but they are all very different!  Beautiful, I'm sure your friend will really enjoy them.  I have a few glasses, etc that I use that I did about 6 years ago & the paint still looks great!
