Steel Shot Mix
« on: May 19, 2009, 10:28:30 PM »
I'm going to be investing in a rotary tumbler soon.

Does anyone have suggestion where to get the best deal for my dollar on steel shot?

I found some at http://www.erocktumbling.com/ 1 pound for $24.99 or 5 pounds for $119.00.

I'm also looking for a good source for burnishing compound.

Thanks!

Can't remember how much we paid for or where we got our steel shot but 1 lb should be more than enough. I've used the same pound for 3 years and it never wears out that I can tell. Maybe Kimberly will remember

Lortone has shot for $19.00 for a pound.  The only problem is the shipping.  I only use half a pound in my tumbler.

I got my shot from www.jatayu.com also. I've been using it for at least 4 years now and it still is great.
