« on: May 19, 2009, 01:23:04 PM »
Any Stumble Upon members out there? If you want to review the forum on Stumble Upon it will help you can go here http://www.stumbleupon.com/url/chainmaillebymboi.com/forum/index.php and review the forum. Also next to every thread thread on the upper right hand corner it says bookmark, you can stumble any thread that you like and it will help bring exposure to the forum and your work. So stumble away. If there are any questions post them here.
Enjoy

yeah - this is what I was looking for!!!

can you give something a thumbs up without commenting about it??? and what's the difference between adding someone as a friend or a subscription?

oh just one more thing to learn!!!!

Good question Kris and I don't know the answer LOL. I just do both I subscribe and add as a friend. I also hit the thumbs up and review the stumbler. I have friend several members now, I'm going to ad the stumble upon members I've found or that found me from the forum to the links tab so we can all follow each other.

What we need to do now is take the time to go to each persons page a write a little note about their stumbles which will make  them more relevant. The more reviews the more hits your page will get ;D

I think when you subscribe to others there stumbles will show up on your page also. I think when you just friend its just that, I don't think it adds there stumbles to your page, It just gives you a link to their page while you on stumble upon it may also give you some juice with stumble upon.

I updated the link directory on top of the forum link tab, there are 11 members so far that have stumble upon accounts, I have added all as friends.

If you have a stumble upon account put your link in the directory so we can  find you! ;D ;D

Your welcome now anymore of our members stumblers yet? If so add your link to the directory so we can find you, if not join then add you link ;D

I've been testing stumble upon lately  and have found that the reviews are key. Not just reviewing your own stuff but reviewing others. The other day we had 283 visitors on the site from stumble upon, but we haven't had it since. I've been stumbling and stumbling our submissions with no results. Well I did some research and realized that stumble upon is smarter than that, anyone can stumble their own stuff. That's easy but when someone else reviews what you stumble that's when stumble upon says this page is really good and gives that page more relevance.
I found a site the other day that had 2500 views from stumble upon in one day, I went to the stumble page and it had 19 reviews.

We already have 11 of our members who have stumble accounts and I suspect we will have several more soon. The only way that your going to get that many people looking at your stuff is if you review others. I know its tough sometimes to review your competition, but that is just not how it works, the more we stick together with our handmade movement the more all of our shops will prosper. I know it sounds weird but that's how it works. We have to help each other to help ourselves.

If you open up a new tab and hit the favorites star on the stumble tool bar it should open your page. I'm sure you can request your password from stumble upon also.
The more the merrier.

Just wanted to bump this up.
Many of you see me say stumbled
Well this is what I'm talking about, I'm sure a lot of you have stumble upon accounts. If you look in the links tab on the top tool bar you'll find a stumble upon section there with a lot of our links.
I tried this before with little luck.
But I would encourage us as a group to try and stumble often and review each others stumble's just like commenting on a blog.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Also anyone who is interested in heading up this outreach and keeping it alive jump in a volunteer to help build our members online presence on stumble upon.

Thanks,

I stumble pretty regularly!  (Most of the time I don't end up on my face on the cement)

All in all , are we getting much attention on StumbleUpon compared to Twitter, Facebook and blogs? There don't seem to be all that many people besides those of us in the forum who thumbs up our articles, or am I missing something? Don't get me wrong, I think it's worthwhile putting ourselves out there wherever we can, just wondering how many people we're actually reaching with StumbleUpon.

... I never did get Digg to accept any of my offerings. I've dumped them completely.

i'm slowly but surely stumbling apon in the very literal sense.  I have tried to spend more time learning about the site and using it.

are there any stats for views we get from the various sites?
