Mother's Bracelet
« on: November 11, 2010, 10:43:06 AM »
Thought I'd start showing off some of my stuff. This is the mother's bracelet I designed.  Swarovski crystals and glass pearls with glass seed beads.  The selections of seed beads really complements the pearls and crystals and gives it an elegant look.  I am looking for some oval memory wire I saw somewhere and now can't find to redo it, though. I think it would be more comfy on the wrist.  (Yes, 5 stones. It's my bracelet and I have 5 kids.)

That's great!  Did you do the stones to comport with the colors of their birthstones?

Larissa ~ Yes, I did.  My 1st and 4th babies are October -- the pink stone (tourmaline?? drawing a blank -- it's the alternate stone for opals).  2nd baby is December, blue topaz.  3rd is July -- ruby.  5th is August -- peridot.

Finding Charm ~ I'm not usually a crystal and sparkle person, but I absolutely love wearing this bracelet. :-)  I'm thinking the oval stuff was at Michaels or AC Moore -- places I avoid in favor of my specialty shops and the internet whenever possible. Guess I'm gonna have to head over there and look.  If you see it elsewhere, holler!

LOL, no. I hadn't. But I did now and I found some. At least I know I'm not imagining it. I was starting to wonder  ;D  It's a Beadalon product.  If I don't get into Michaels over the next couple days I'll order it. And some proper cutters for the stuff.

I found some oval memory wire at Michaels. They may even have it on their online store.

Such a lovely bracelet. The Swarovski and Pearls look wonderful together, and the seed beads add a special touch.

Thank you, Raedawn.

I found my oval memory wire.  At Michaels.  I really hate that place.  Crowded with lots of rude people and slow cashiers.  And toilet paper so think you can read through it.   :P

I'm going to give the packaging to my bead store and see if they can get it for me.

I'll post a new pic when I redo the bracelet.

Pretty bracelet. I'll have to try some of this oval wire. Too bad your Michael's is so awful. I don't go there much, but the one by me is nice and the staff has been very helpful when I needed it.
