... I really want to go to Ed Debevic's.  I've been wanting to go there since I heard about it when I was 9. My family was never too enthusiastic about the idea, though! Ahhh, someday.....

Just be sure to strap on your thick skin and bring your sense of humor with ... those waiters will be quick with the sarcastic quips! Seriously though, Ed Debevic's is a really fun place. ;D

That was him!  He hasn't posted since he tried to do a HUGE writeup on SEO or something to that effect and it got timed out and he got annoyed at the computer, but when I told him the reactions to dinner, he snuck in to say hi.

None of the great chefs can resist mingling with their admirers and taking a bow ...  ;D

Weird.  I did it the same ol' tinypic way, and sized 'em down to 500 px across so they can be seen without scrolling, even.

It is unlike ANY place you've ever been too! And yes, REALLY thick skin!!!

Another fun place we went to years ago was "Tommy Gun's Garage". It's under the "L" tracks, and you have to give a password to get in. You are in a speakeasy surrounded by guys in pinstripe suits with Tommy guns! It was SOOO fun! Not sure if they are around anymore. I forget what street they were on.
